Thanks for stopping by! I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I am
inspired by the beauty of our high desert mountains, the colors of our
sunsets, and the ever present music and thoughts playing in my head. I
am a graduate of the University of New Mexico where I received a BA in Applied Math and an MA in Statistics.
For me, there is a huge connection between math and art. The patterns,
formulas, and rhythm that I found and loved in math can also be found in
art. As a teenager I studied oil painting and creative writing. I felt
math was the more practical route to a career, so that is the path I
took for my academic life. I spent fourteen years homeschooling my
children, but returned to my artistic roots once they graduated. I have
taken many art classes through the years, focusing primarily on acrylic
painting and mixed media techniques, book binding, and art journaling. I
have been published in many independent zines, Somerset Studio
Magazine, Somerset Studio Gallery, Vamp Stamp News, and am proud to be in the book, Creative Ways With Books and Journals.
I enjoy selling my art locally where I can meet face to face with
people who enjoy my creations. Please take some time to browse my
website pages. I hope you enjoy your visit!
